Linux and Unix

Linux and Unix system administration is a core competency of nearly everyone at Rampant, including our security, systems, and software engineers. We bring decades of combined experience with RedHat and CentOS through our support of DoD and IC contracts. From basic day-to-day system administration to advanced cluster configurations, LDAP services, storage solutions, and script development, Rampant has you covered.

Cloud Technologies

Rampant has fully embraced cloud and virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, Docker, and AWS, both corporately and within the government contracts we support. We have experience in deploying cloud infrastructure to operational systems, managing cloud environments, and fully utilizing DoD and IC cloud technologies to introduce efficiencies and reduce overall IT expenses. Furthermore, we understand the additional attack surface, vulnerabilities and risks that cloud technologies introduce, and we know how to address them.

Information Security

System security hardening is required to ensure system security and maintain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) on every government system. Rampant security engineers have deep knowledge, and years of hands-on experience with securing all major operating systems and countless Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software and hardware products. We will ensure that your infrastructure is secured and hardened in accordance with industry best practices, vendor guidelines, and government recommendations, such as Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), while minimizing impacts to system functionality and performance.

System Automation

Efficiency is something we are passionate about at Rampant. We find and exploit every opportunity we encounter to automate inefficient processes with software. We have deep experience developing automation tools in various scripting languages including Python, Perl, Shell, and VBScript. Oftentimes our automation tools are so successful that they develop and evolve into fully functional applications.
